1. Purpose and Commitment
Exmouth Healing Centre Limited (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all Practitioners, Clients, staff, and visitors. This Health and Safety Policy outlines the standards and responsibilities required to ensure the wellbeing of everyone using the Centre and its facilities.
2. Scope
This policy applies to:
- All Practitioners registered with the Centre
- All staff, volunteers, and contractors
- Any person delivering services or interacting with Clients at the Centre or via the Platform
3. Practitioner Responsibilities
Practitioners must:
- Comply with all applicable health and safety laws and regulations
- Follow Centre policies and procedures at all times
- Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others
- Report any hazards, accidents, or incidents immediately to Centre management
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in all booked spaces
4. Fire Safety
- Practitioners must familiarise themselves with fire exits and evacuation procedures
- Fire doors must remain closed and unobstructed
- No naked flames, candles, or heating devices may be used without prior written approval
- Fire safety signage must be respected at all times
5. Use of Incense and Aromatherapy
- Use of incense, candles, diffusers, or essential oils is permitted only with prior written approval
- All scents must be non-toxic, subtle, and safe for shared environments
- Practitioners must ensure that Clients are not sensitive or allergic to any substances used
6. Noise and Disruption
- Practitioners must keep noise to a minimum in treatment areas and shared spaces
- Mobile phones must be silenced during sessions
- Group activities in the Studio must not disrupt treatments in adjacent rooms
- Respect must be shown to other Practitioners and Clients at all times
7. Cleanliness and Hygiene
- Practitioners must leave rooms clean and tidy after use
- Any shared equipment (e.g. yoga props, towels) must be used respectfully and returned clean
- Personal items must not be left in communal areas without prior agreement
- Practitioners must follow any hygiene protocols issued by the Centre
8. Use of Facilities and Equipment
- Practitioners must use Centre facilities only for approved treatment services
- Any damage or malfunction must be reported immediately
- Lockable storage may be available on request, subject to availability
- Practitioners must not tamper with or modify Centre equipment
9. Behaviour On Site
- Practitioners must arrive and depart punctually for bookings
- Conduct must be professional, respectful, and non-disruptive
- The Centre must not be used for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose
- Practitioners must comply with any reasonable instructions given by Centre staff
10. Safeguarding
- Practitioners must treat all Clients with dignity, respect, and sensitivity
- Be alert to signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation
- Report safeguarding concerns promptly to [email protected]
- Practitioners working with children or vulnerable adults must be appropriately trained, insured, and DBS-checked where applicable

11. Accidents and Incidents
- All accidents, injuries, or near misses must be reported immediately
- Practitioners must cooperate with any investigation or follow-up
- First aid supplies are available on site; emergency services should be contacted if needed
12. Review and Updates
This policy will be reviewed annually or in response to changes in legislation, guidance, or Centre operations. Updates will be communicated via the Platform and email.
